Busy Week!

It was a very busy in our home this week.

Katie

My baby finished kindergarten this week it was so sweet.
Nanny Mom was there to celebrate with us. Nanny is such a wonderful grandma. She is at almost everything that is momentous in our family. We are so thankful for her and her dedication to our family. She is a wonderful example of LOVE.
Katie and Mrs. Washington
Our family has been blessed to have this wonderful teacher for 3 of our girls.
She is a great kindergarten teacher.
This is Katie and her BESTIES
Katie is different then my other girls she was more social with these 3 girls this year.
Poor Mrs. Washington had to ask me to speak with Katie a few times this school year and remind her that school is for learning. Katie loved to play and talk.
One reason I take my children to Peralta Trails is there are more LDS kids that go here in our school district. I love having my children go to school with kids that have the same beliefs as we do. That is why I sacrifice daily to drive them so far for school. This is a group of them that were in kindergarten this year.
A reward for my Katie was to go get a pedicure with me for finishing school this year. We went the next day.

Ester

Ester and Nanny Mom
Every year at the end of school the classes have awards for each child. We went to Ester's. I was so proud of her. She got 4 awards the one in the picture is the best one. I had to hold back the tears when her teacher announced this one. It was for the most Honest, Responsible, Fair, Caring, Trusting and Respectful student. Ester got it. Her teacher said she is one of the most honest kids.
Ester and her BESTIES
Ester had an awesome year at school. Many times she would say to me "this is the best year ever and it is going by so fast". She not only had good friends in her class but had one of our family's favorite teachers. Who is moving and another Hyman will not get the chance to have her again. We are sad for us but happy for her and this new chapter in her life. She really was an excellent teacher who showed so much love for her students
Katie and Ester and their BESTIES
Our family is so blessed to have such good friends who have kids our kids same age. Ester has friends who have sisters who are Katie's friends. I think it is so cute.

Eliza

Eliza got a few awards this year. Eliza is very smart and a very good stundent.
Eliza and Mrs. Rivera
We were lucky to have Mrs. Rivera two years in a row. She is a great teacher.

Jacob

This is Jacob's seminary class. His church class he had at 6:00 am everyday before school. It was his best part of the day. It helped him get through high school.
He had the best teacher there Brother Fessler.

Hanna

Hanna finished elementary school. We were so proud of her. She is growing up to be a beautiful young woman. I love her more each day.
Hanna and her BESTIES
These girls are not only beautiful on the outside but have the most beautiful spirit on the inside.
After the 6th grade ceremony. A group of my friends and kids went to Pei Wei for lunch.

Outside Pei Wei

Savili

One of my BESTIES got sworn in as an American Citizen.
I was so happy to be there with my other BESTIE and see history.

That was our busy week. I love my life and the wonderful people in it. Yet again it is all because of the gospel of Jesus Christ that I am blessed to know such wonderful people in my life.

Homemade Skirts

For activity days two of my Loves made modest skirts. Well all the Loves wanted one (except Jacob and Clint of course) and I feel good using the really expensive sewing machine that I did not need but wanted. So Saturday was a sewing day. I let the girls pick out what fabric they wanted and we sewed them. It was so fun and easy. Then we went to the store and got shirts to match. Each of my sweet girls had a new Sunday outfit. Even Katie's dollie did. They look BEAUTIFUL!

Yesterday I loved seeing all my primary girls wearing their skirts. It was such a fun activity. I am so thankful for all the gospel does and gives me. I could not imagine my life without something so wonderful. I just don't know how people survive in this world without the gospel. I love it with all my heart.

3:33 am

I hate it when I wake up in the middle of the night and realize how many mistakes I have made in my life. How much I have let myself go. How messy I have let my house get. I wake up feeling like the biggest loser. (I wish in the weight kind of way but no I failed there too.) It is so sad to say I really stink at goals. I always have. I am terrible at teaching the loves I love the most what it means to set a goal and stick with it. When the going gets tough I quit or as soon as something gets uncomfortable I stop or buy new pants. Which ever. I just hate it when it is 3:33 in the morning the rooster is coock-a-dooing outside Clint is peacefully sleeping the clock is ticking and I am stewing over what a loser I have become. The only way out of this is to set a few goal and get them done. With the summer coming the loves out of school, I can maybe get some things accomplished. I don't know if I should put openly my goals online. (what if I fail, what if I don't start) I know I need to do something and do it soon. I saw a quote "a goal without a plan is just a wish". I need to make my wishes goals NOW!

To Blog or not to Blog

I have gone back and forth about starting a new blog. I tend to sometimes give more info about my life then Clint would like so I have to watch it. We have so many new things happening in our lives that I think I should blog about it. The newest thing is the remodel/addition that we have all been a part of. I can not wait for it to be done. It has been an eight month project due to someone Clint not getting proper permits. (Like he should know that being in the construction industry and all.) Any way long story short we are moving on it and it is now getting done. I will finally have an office and a bigger pantry. Last summer we had to downsize for a little while. To move our family to a house half the size we are use to has been such an adjustment. It will be nice after the addition.
Jacob taking a window out.
Ester Jacob and Grant helping.
They are getting ready to knock out the wall.
Clint taking off the trim to a temporary door.

Half of the wall down. Meanwhile I was working on a Mother's Day project on the table.

The wall is down.

I will continue to post on the progress. I will be so excited when it is done.
